Adventure Medical Kits Partners With Backpacker Magazine to Help Readers Get Out More

LITTLETON, N.H. (April 27, 2018) — Adventure Medical Kits has returned for a second year as the official medical kit sponsor of the annual Backpacker Magazine Get Out More Tour. Now in its 18th year, this one-of-a-kind mobile education tour crisscrosses the country to inspire outdoor enthusiasts to spend more time hiking and backpacking.

“We are thrilled to support the Get Out More Tour again this year,” says Frank Meyer, chief marketing officer at Tender Corporation, parent company of Adventure Medical Kits. “We founded Adventure Medical Kits 29 years ago to help more people enjoy the outdoors safely, a mission that aligns perfectly with Backpacker’s Get Out More Tour.”

Over the next 200 days, Backpacker Magazine ambassador Randy Propster will log upwards of 35,000 miles on the road, hosting free educational seminars and group hikes at 45 specialty outdoor retailers and eight music festivals. The seminars present a unique opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to learn about the latest backpacking gear and techniques from a trusted industry veteran.

“I have a genuine passion for the outdoors that started way back as a child,” says Propster. “Sharing my passion with thousands of consumers across the country is truly a humbling experience.”

During the first-aid segment of his presentations, Propster will detail how to gear up for different length hikes, utilizing Adventure Medical Kits’ Mountain Series or Ultralight/Watertight kits, as well as educate the audience on how to treat the most common trail injuries. Additional preparedness products from Survive Outdoors Longer, After Bite and The Itch Eraser will be featured. Each tour stop features door prizes and raffle items from Adventure Medical Kits and all of the other supporting brands.
